General Membership Information

  • Memberships can be purchased at the Annual Meeting or at Bank's 4-Season Sports in Red Wing, MN.
  • Memberships last for the duration of a calendar year and may be purchased at any time during the year. 
  • There are two types of memberships available - Youth and Adult.
  • Only current members can use RWWL property. It is not a right to use this land, it is a privilege. Please respect the land, structures, cabins, beaches and be courteous of other members.
  • Any RWWL member has the right to ask any other member to see their membership.
  • If you do not have a valid membership you will be asked to leave the property. If you do not leave you will be in violation of the trespass law.
  • Violation of RWWL rules may suspend your membership and privileges for one full year.

There are 2 types of memberships available. Membership type is based on age and is as follows:

Eligibility

Membership is limited to individuals that currently live in the Red Wing, MN area. This area is includes the following cities and townships:

  • City of Red Wing
  • Featherstone Township
  • Hay Creek Township
  • Wacouta Township
  • Welch Township
  • Vasa Township
  • Village of Bay City, WI
  • Trenton Township (Pierce Co.)
  • Isabella Township (Pierce Co.)

Note – You must be a resident of area stated above for greater than 13 consecutive months to be a member. If you are not a current resident of the Red Wing area as stated above, then you are required to be a previous resident for more than 15 years. 

Note – You must use your permanent residence as listed on your Driver's License.  We do not accept dock slip addresses, boathouse slip addresses, friend’s addresses, etc.

Note - The map provided here is a very rough approximation of the township borders that you are required to live in.  This map does not represent the true boundary for membership.  We expect that you know where you live. 

Duration

Memberships last one calendar year (January 1 – December 31). Memberships are available for purchase at the beginning of the year and no earlier.

Non-transferrable

Memberships are non-transferrable. Just like hunting or fishing licenses, a RWWL membership is assigned to the individual. Therefore, memberships cannot be shared among friends or family. If an individual wants to be a member they are required to have their own personal membership.

Signage

Individuals are required to sign the membership card.   This helps limit the possibility of unpermitted transfer of memberships.
