General
(1) A “Member” is defined as an individual that meets the geographical requirements as listed in the bylaws for membership eligibility and has possession of a current year membership card.
(2) Memberships are issued on annual basis and last for the duration of a calendar year (January 1 – December 31). Memberships will be available for purchase at the beginning of the year and can be acquired at any time during the year.
(3) Standard Memberships vary by cost based on age at the time of purchase. A Youth Membership is for age 17 & under. An Adult Membership is for age 18 & above.
(4) Memberships are non-transferrable. Just like hunting or fishing licenses, a RWWL membership is assigned to the individual. Therefore, memberships shall not be shared or loaned to any non-member, including friends and family. If an individual wants to be a Member they are required to have their own personal membership.
(5) All individuals with a standard membership have equal privileges for property use in accordance with RWWL policies.
(6) All individuals with a standard membership have equal voting rights in accordance with RWWL bylaws.
(7) Individuals are prohibited from using RWWL property unless they have a valid membership in their possession. Being on RWWL property without a valid membership may be deemed in violation of state trespass laws. Note, some policies as identified below permit use by non-members. Other non-member use (e.g. agency personnel, contractors for land management, surveying, etc) may be approved by the Board of Directors
(8) Be aware that it is a privilege to use this land, not a right. All Members shall respect the land, structures, cabins, beaches and be courteous of other Members. All Members shall also show the same respect for adjacent landowners.
(9) Any RWWL Member has the right to ask any other Member to see their membership card.
(10) If an individual fails to provide proper identification and valid membership card when requested they will be asked to leave the property. Refusal to leave RWWL property is a violation of state trespass laws, thus, local authorities may be contacted as necessary.
(11) Vandalism of RWWL property, structures, beaches, etc. will not be tolerated and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
(12) All Members shall conduct themselves in an ethical, courteous and respectful manner while using RWWL property.
(13) Violation of RWWL policies may suspend your membership and privileges for one full year as determined by the Board of Directors.
Hunting
(1) When duck hunting, blinds must be 100 yards apart for safety reasons.
(2) When duck hunting, maintain a visible light prior to shooting hours so other hunters know you are there.
(3) No goose hunting until opening of regular waterfowl season. The exception is Youth Waterfowl Day, in which youth are permitted to hunt geese as long as there is an open goose hunting season at that time.
(4) No cutting of cover/bulrushes in the fringe areas of the lakes where blinds are normally set up.
(5) No cutting of willows or other trees for blind building. Please use already dead tree limbs.
(6) Use caution - No Wake - when motoring through the Old Cannon channel into the Pullover, Pullover dock areas, in small channels connecting lakes, or in poor visibility spots. When in doubt be safe and slow down.
(7) Make all reasonable attempts to pick up empty shotgun shell casings at the end of a hunt. Failure to do so qualifies as littering.
(8) Respect the Pullover cart system. Be in control of the cart at all times (i.e. hang onto your boat and rope). DO NOT let the cart slam at the stops.
(9) Tree stands used for deer hunting must be temporary hang-on or ladder stands. No permanent stands can be nailed/screwed into trees (i.e. wood stands).
(10) Temporary stands are permitted to remain in place.
(11) If hunting near wildlife food plots, be respectful of the work that was put in to maintain these by not trampling or nocking down food.
(12) It is the responsibility of all Members to acquire and maintain appropriate hunting and fishing licenses.
(13) All Members are expected to follow all State and Federal hunting and fishing laws. You are responsible for your own actions and ignorance to the law is not excuse. Know the laws!
(14) We encourage any person witnessing a violation to contact Turn-In-Poachers (1-800-652-9093), the local Conservation Officer, or the RWWL Board of Directors.
(15) Violation of State or Federal hunting and fishing laws while using RWWL property may result in suspension of your membership and privileges for one year as determined by the Board of Directors.
(16) Most importantly, have a safe and successful hunting season.
